Our Partnership with the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation

The For Elysa Foundation recently launched a new program in Kansas City to provide mental health support for families whose children are diagnosed with a serious cardiac condition, such as myocarditis or a congenital heart defect. Offered in partnership with the St. Louis-based Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation, the Ollie’s Branch program will provide up to 8 sessions with a licensed therapist for any parent, grandparent or sibling of a pediatric heart patient. 

Services are free of charge, and sessions are offered virtually so that transportation, childcare and other factors are not barriers to participation. By supporting mental wellness and extending peace of mind to heart families and healthcare professionals, our goal is to enable them to better cope and care for children – helping to strengthen heart families and provide benefits for the entire care team.
